Q1: How do I create my first AI avatar?
You can create and configure your AI avatar through the console in just a few steps.
Perxona makes it simple to build and manage an AI avatar.
Navigate to the AI avatars page.
Click Create in the top-right corner.
Choose an avatar for your AI avatar by clicking Choose avatar. Leave this blank if you prefer a chatbot-only experience.
Enter your AI avatar details:
- Name: The AI avatar’s display name.
- Voice: Choose a voice that determines language support.

Storyboard: For a quick start, select Free Chat.
Click Next, and choose a chat bubble style.
You can now interact with your AI avatar by clicking the chat bubble at the bottom right of the screen.

- Personality: Define the AI avatar’s tone and traits to guide interactions. You can click “Prompt Template” or leave it blank and edit later.
- Storyboard: Choose “Free Chat” by default, or bind an existing storyboard to the AI avatar.
Q3. Can I choose from different avatars?
Yes. All plans include access to our avatar library, where you can preview and select from a range of styles directly in the console.
Preview the AI avatar
Perxona AI avatar's show page allows you to easily test the Avatar presentation. It will automatically reload when you select presentation mode or select a different avatar.

You can define your AI avatar's profile including name, tone, and personality traits to shape how your AI avatar interacts.
Create the AI avatar

Voice and Languages
- Choose the voice of the AI avatar.
- Since different voice presets may support different languages, please ensure you select a voice that contains your preferred language. The Perxona AI avatar allows you to pick up to 4 languages per AI avatar.
- After selecting supported languages, you should also define the primary language of the AI avatar by selecting the “Main language”, which will be the default language when the AI avatar needs to initiate a conversation with the end user.
- If your organization is on board with customized voice, please contact the Perxona team to ensure the voice is included on the list.
Q6. Is avatar customization included in all plans?
Yes. All plans include basic avatar setup via the console.
Q7. Can I change my AI avatar’s personality later?
Yes. You can update the AI avatar’s tone, language style, and behavior settings anytime in the console.

AI avatar settings influence how the AI avatar speaks, reacts, and responds, enabling more natural and brand-aligned conversations.
The personality defines the special characteristics of the AI avatar, which will affect how the AI avatar’s voice, motion, and responses are perceived. Perxona leverages LLM natural language for users to define and guide their AI avatar freely. By determining the personality, you can separate the AI avatar’s style from the Company SOPs, which should be written in Storyboards. For example, you can prepare a list of different characters (e.g., a Warm and supportive female, an Energized male), but all bind with the same Storyboard.

Use the integration settings in the AI avatar page to generate and embed your code snippet.
- On the AI avatar page, click Integrate.
- Generate a Public Token by entering your website domain (e.g., perxona.ai) and press Enter.
- Click Next to generate your code snippets.
- Follow the on-screen integration steps to embed the code into your website.
- Back on the AI avatar page, click the Publish button next to the integration settings to go live.

Q11. What should I do after publishing my AI avatar?
You can refine its interaction and connect knowledge documents to improve its performance.

Q12. What are the AI avatar statuses in Perxona?
The AI avatars page provides an overview of the AI avatars' status within your organization.
Each AI avatar has 3 different publish statuses:
- Draft: The AI avatar profile is created, but it has not yet been published.

Requires Republishing: The AI avatar is published, but contains unpublished changes. Those assets binding to the avatar require the AI avatar to republish. Including:
- Avatar update
- Scene update
- Voice and Language update
- Storyboard update
Published: Fully up-to-date and live.
- Suspended: The AI avatar was published, but was now stopped by its owner or due to exceeding its budget setting.
On this page, you can easily find your AI avatar through sorting, filters, and search.
Q13. What are the available presentation widget modes?
After creating the avatar, you will enter the preview and adjustment page.
Presentation Mode
Perxona supports different sizes of web-based presentation widgets for client integration. Here are the options:
Full-screen
The full-screen mode provides the most immersive experience for end users. It is helpful if you are expecting to have a full page for the AI avatar.
Chat bubble
The chat bubble is the most commonly used for an AI avatar on a website. The Perxona provides a default widget with an entry bubble in the screen's right-bottom corner. The end user can open the widget window by clicking on the bubble.
Built-in
If you are designing a webpage, and you want to embed the AI avatar in one of your webpage’s containers (most likely a <div></div> in HTML format>. You can select this mode for preview and testing purposes.
Q14. Can I adjust avatar presentation settings?
Yes. You can configure background, camera angle, avatar position, and chat UI color from the console.
Besides the AI avatar's default information, there are also other configuration options.
Space
The user can select the background that best fits their avatar.
Theme
- Half/Full body: select the default camera angle to focus on the upper body or the full body

Camera FOV
- Distance: adjust the camera distance toward the avatar
- Up/Down: adjust the camera focus shift upper or lower
- Left/Right: adjust the avatar stand location to left or right
- Color: Adjust the user chat-bubble color
- Chat thumbnail: upload the chat thumbnail of the Bubble-chat widget
Q15. How do I control where my AI avatar is deployed?
The Perxona system recognizes the access key to validate the usage. To publish the presentation widget to your website, you first need to create a key and then define the publish target host. You can add up to three keys per AI avatar for your release control.
Clicks on </> Integrate on the right-top, next to the Publish button.
You can select one of the security mechanisms for widget authentication.
Public Token
The public token is the simplest mechanism for integration; you generate an API key and use it without expiration.
To add a public token:
- Select “Public Token”
- Click “Add Key” to generate a Public token
To remove the public token, click on “Trash can” to delete.
Session key
The session key mechanism requires complicated integration, but has a stronger level of security.
To implement the session key, you utilize the secret token generated from the dialog. Follow algorithm to generate session key on your backend and provide it to your frontend, so that every end-user’s session will use different keys.
To achieve that:
- Click “Session Key”
- Click “Add Key”
Now your backend can use this Key as shared secret token and generate session key when needed by:
API Secret Key: {Selected K}
Hash function: HMAC-SHA-256
Session Key = Hash< K | Timestamp | Expiry>
And then your frontend page should receive updated session key and fill in <sv-AI avatar> widget’s attributes:

After generating a key, you must enter your release domain and press Enter. Finally, copy the code snippet and publish it to enable the deployment.
Q16. How do I configure my platform domain and publish my AI avatar?
Domain
After key generation, type your release domain and press “Enter. And then the “Next” button should enable to you.

Once all settings are done:
- Follow the instructions step by step to copy code snippets to your website page, and then release it.
Don’t forget to click on “Publish” to enable the connection from your website.
